Aromatherapy Healing With Pure Essential Oils and Crystals - Balance Energy

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

By KG Stiles In my last article about Healing with Crystals I shared more of the legend associated with Lemurian Seed Crystals, as well as some of the intriguing empirical data I’ve gathered when using these rare healing crystals in my healing arts practice. From my ongoing research with Lemurian Seed Crystals I have learned that they have an especial affinity for the limbic or emotional part of our brain. The limbic part of our nervous system controls our instinctual response to stimuli. It is the part of our brain that motivates us to take action. Research has shown that we make decisions from our emotions and then justify them with our reasoning. It is through our brain and physical nervous system that the subtle interplay of neuro-chemicals and cerebral spinal fluids takes place creating a vibrational resonance or energetic frequency that prompts us to experience certain corresponding emotions. Contrary to popular belief it is the faster or higher frequency energies which stress us out and trigger such emotions as anger, fear or worry. In contrast the lower frequency energies correspond with our having feelings of well-being and calm. For example in my aromatherapy practice it is the essential oils with the lower, base carrier notes that have a calming effect on our nervous system. Vetiver, Sandalwood, Spikenard and Myrrh are known to have this calming effect on our nerves. Notably they are all wood oils with a more stabile aromatic profile, meaning their scent is more long lasting, making them excellent anchors for essential oil blends. Dr. Candace Pert and Dr. Bruce Lipton have both conducted research into the science behind our emotions and our beliefs. These publications listed will help you learn more about the important ground breaking work they’ve conducted: Dr. Candace Pert, “Molecules of Emotion” and “Your Body is Your Subconscious Mind” (audio) and Dr. Bruce Lipton, “The Biology of Belief.” Crystals are known to have “the” most highly organized molecular structure in nature. It is my experience when working with the Lemurian Seed Crystals that they transmit something like a holographic blueprint of their exquisitely organized internal structure which acts to tune and refine other energetic structures they come in contact with, resulting in a realignment on all planes: physical, etheric, astral, mental and causal. This realignment or restructuring helps our consciousness to evolve so that we are more unified and at peace within ourselves. We become more receptive to the intensified evolutionary forces that are presently at work on our planet earth and can more easily allow ourselves to be okay with whatever is happening. As well when we are at peace within we are more open to receive the guidance available to each of us for making wise decisions. In my next article about Aromatherapy Healing with Pure Essential Oils and Crystals you will learn about the research of Marcel Vogel the inventor of the liquid crystal display (LCD), as well as final thoughts about the Lemurian Seed Crystals and empirical findings when using them in practice. Brilliant Beetroot!

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

By Judy Williams Are you looking for a truly versatile vegetable to grow and serve? Try beetroot! It has the most amazing colourand texture. Varieties range in colour from gold to deep red/purple and are delicious raw, boiled, baked, pickled and juiced. Even the leaves are edible! The root is packed with Vitamin C and theleaves are a great source of Vitamin A and potassium. Beetroot is native to the Mediterranean so needs a fairly warm climate to do well. Unlike most of the plants we’ve discussed in the past, the seeds should be planted directly into the garden (or container)without going through the transplant stage. Soak the seeds in water overnight to help germination, before planting. Youshould see your plants emerge in 10-14 days. Two or three plants will emerge from each of the seedclumps, but then you have to make a decision before thinning. Do you want to eat the leaves or the root? If you pick the leaves often, the root will develop poorly. Some sort of trade off has to be made. Even so,small beets are better than no beets at all. Vegetables do best when they grow quickly and beets are no exception. Feed them every couple of weeks with a good water soluble plant food. They should be ready to harvest in 8-12 weeks. Preparing Beetroot When boiling beetroot (in salted water), always leave the skin on. Otherwise the colour will run. Allow to cool, peel, then cut to size. Wrap in foil and bake, just like a potato. Then serve it with sour cream and chives. Juice it raw with carrots and celery Whip up some Russian Borscht. Again, the sour cream and beetroot combo is excellent. Cut it up into a salad. Some herbs that really get along with it include dill, caraway, rocket and chicory. Pickle it and use it to add zing to your salad sandwiches. I LOVE this. One small sidetrack…you may want to use disposable gloves when handling before a dinner party…it canstain your fingers for a day or two… Want a different sort of dip for a starter? Try this one…the colour is WILD! Spicy Beetroot Dip 4 medium beetroot3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil2 pita bread250ml natural yoghurt2 cloves garlic crushed2 tablespoons lemon juice1/2 teaspoon ground cumin1/2 teaspoon ground coriander1/2 teaspoon paprika1/4 teaspoon chilli powder (optional)Salt to taste Preheat oven to 180C. Peel beetroot and cut into 1″ cubes.Coat the beetroot with olive oil by tossing in a bowl. Spreadcubes on an oven tray and cook until soft, about 30 minutes.Remove and let cool. Once beetroot is cooked and removed, turn the oven up to 200C.Cut the pita bread into dipping pieces, either triangles or strips.Spread them out on a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes, oruntil crisp. Place the cool beetroot with all other dip ingredients in a blender and puree. Display your spicy purple dip in a bowl surrounded by crispy dipping pita strips. How Swimming Can Lose Weight

Monday, October 29th, 2007

By Lawrence Chok Swimming is a whole body exercise and not only can lose weight but also can improve your heart and lung functions. This exercise also can train up all your muscles. Because of water buoyancy; when you swim in the water, your bones are fully relaxed. This is good for those who want to increase their height, especially those young teenagers. Actually, swimming is a huge energy consumption exercise. This is because the water resistance during swim in water is far greater than the air resistance during exercise on land. Just walk in the water already consume a lot of energies, if swim in the water much more calories will be consumed. Meanwhile, the thermal conductivity of water is 24 times greater than the atmosphere and the water temperature is lower than normal temperature, so this is conducive to heat loss and energy consumption. Therefore, the energy consumption from swimming is greater than those exercises on the land. So, the weight loss effect is more obviously. Swimming can avoid injury from waist and lower limbs exercises. When perform weight loss exercise on land, because of body weight is heavy, it will cause certain part of body (especially the lower extremities and waist) to sustain the enormous gravity load. So, it may easily damage joints and lower limb bones. Therefore, this will reduce the exercise capacity, easy fatigue and gradually reduce the interest in weight loss exercise. However, when swim in water, a portion of body weight will bared by the water buoyancy. So, the load is reduced and the risk of injury to the joints and bone is much lower. You can enjoy the service of natural massage. During swimming, the water buoyancy, resistance and pressure will become an excellent massage on the human body. It also may help in the beauty of skin. Resistance of movement in the water is 12 times greater as compare on land. So, when you move your limbs in the water, you will be able to feel a strong resistance. This will train up your back, chest, abdomen, hip and leg muscles. That is the reason why those swimming athletes have clear lines of muscles. Swimming also is an exciting exercise and the heat loss in water is faster than air. In other words, the rate of heat loss in water will be very fast and a large number of calories will be soon consumed during swimming. Therefore, those excess body fats will be easily burned out. In order to have a good result, a plan is needed for the swimming training. For the beginner: you continuously swim for 3 minutes and then take a rest for 1-2 minutes. After that, you swim for another 2 times, as well as three minutes. If you feel that these are not cost you too much effort to complete, then you can proceed to the second stage: you continuously swim for 10 minutes with average speed and then take a break of 3 minutes (totally 3 times). If you still feel that very relax, then set the time to 20 minutes each ., until as long as 30 minutes. If you feel that the intensity of increment is too fast, then you should adjust to the level that you can accepted. Because of the physical exertion for swimming is quite high, it is recommended perform this training once every 2 days. At least you have 1 day to recover back your energy. The rate of metabolism will be very fast during swimming. In 30 minutes of swimming can consume 1,100 calories and this metabolic rate still can continue for a certain period of times after you leave the water. So swimming is an ideal weight loss method. For those who are slim and thin, swimming is a good method for them to gain weight. It is because swimming can develop every part of muscles by increasing the size of the muscles and causing weight gain. In order to have smooth lines of muscles, swimming will be the good choice. Base on above information, swimming really is a good exercise to help in slimming or weight loss. However, well preparation and safety should be done before swimming to prevent accidents. Lawrence Chok has revealed some simple, easy and effective tips in weight loss and body slimming. Those amazing tips are proven that work to majority of people. Moving a Business Relationship from Free to Fee: Power of Freebies - Part 2

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

By Debbie Jenkins In the last issue we looked at 5 reasons why giving stuff away is a great tactic for filling your pipeline. Now let’s take a look at the kind of things you may want to give. What Kind Of F’reebie Should You Offer? You should aim to offer something tantalising to spark the relationship but that doesn’t necessarily mean giving something that costs you in a big way. You need to put yourself in your prospects’ shoes and ask, “What problem would I be grateful to have solved right now and without cost?”. The more closely you can provide something that’s a genuine solution to people who may need what you sell the more powerful your offer will be. My particular favourite is a special electronic (low cost) report, guide or information pack. They’re relatively easy to produce, can have a high perceived value and if delivered through a website you don’t even have to pay to produce them. So you can deliver value, set yourself up as an expert and do it for a very small outlay once the initial investment in creating the content is done. Sometimes it isn’t practical or appropriate to offer f’ree information, so below I’ve tried to categorise a few of the more common ways to provide a f’reebie. Note: It’s a good idea to have your pipeline handy. You can get the pipeline here… Different F’reebie categories… * Information (on website, information pack, toolkit) It’s valuable to your target, but if packaged correctly costs you nothing! The added benefit is they’ll give a little more information to you if they really want it! In order to get the f’ree information you request that they provide you with their contact details and permission to contact them with regards to their enquiry. So, they get something useful for f’ree and we can begin a relationship with them. The MWR with this technique is to move them from “Stranger” to “Know Who You Are” plus it gets them to divulge some ‘needs’ information. * Sample Service (consultation/training/coaching session) This costs you more than simply providing information but you can also move your target through the pipeline more quickly. You’ll be using this freebie to move the target from ‘Stranger’ or ‘Know Who You Are’ to ‘Sampled Your Work’. Coaches usually use this approach with varied results. I’d suggest making it clear up front, how much this would usually cost and also being choosy about who you allow to take advantage of your offer. A self-selection type questionnaire, designed to screen out people who you don’t want to work with or probably won’t get the full benefit will help. One client, a training firm, uses this approach to get into large organisations by providing a f’ree training masterclass with decision makers and a small group. Their MWR is that the company takes part in a consultation first (an opportunity to learn more and make the sample work.) * Healthcheck Free evaluations and audits for IT, people or systems is a high risk approach to offering a f’reebie. We did this once by offering f’ree website evaluations. On the surface it seemed good. find people who aren’t entirely happy with their website and then tell them how we can help them get it working. The reality was a lot of work to attract uninspired and desperate clients who weren’t prepared to pay for a ‘proper’ job. A healthcheck can be great if you want to be inundated with enquiries but you could end up being a busy, unpaid fool. Most of the enquiries we generated from our healthcheck were from desperate people. In our experience you don’t want desperate clients but more on that later. * Workshop/Seminar A f’ree (or low cost) workshop/seminar can be a fantastic freebie. You get the opportunity to work with a captive audience, let them sample your ability and create a close, personal relationship with you. You’ll convert many from ‘Stranger’ to ‘Sampled Your Work’ in one shot which is sometimes easier than doing a whole load of one to ones. * Paid For - Low Cost Although not exactly a f’reebie, having introductory services or providing a low risk opportunity for prospects to sample you could be a good way to move the prospect on quickly from ‘Stranger’ to ‘Paid For Your Work’. Some people will try to take advantage if you’re not careful though so, be very clear that this is a special price and if possible put certain terms on your offer; for people who buy before a certain date or because it’s a cut-down version of the full service. * Bonus Incentive Something that’s better than Paid For - Low Cost is the bonus. Basically, when somebody agrees to pay for your work they’ll get an additional bonus: ie a f’ree report, book, bonus session, discount off future course etc. * Newsletter/Regular Updates This is an example of something we call a Ping. Basically it’s a way of sending information to someone to see if they’re still listening and interested. When you get people to agree to receive f’ree information from you on a regular basis in return for their contact details you have permission to give them the occasional gentle nudge. Our tips ezine has been going since 1997 and provides a great source of leads and prospects for our various business offers. Delivering this by email, using a form on your website, will keep the cost to you low and provides genuine value to your potential customers. Baits Used in Freshwater Fishing

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

By Michael Russell Probably the most universal of all natural baits is the worm. The more easily obtained common garden worm is a good standby for the big, pencil thick variety found in shady gullies between hills along sub-tropical rain forests. They can also be found in marshy, fertile river flats. The more active the worm, the better it presents to the fish. Worms are also bred as commercial ventures for anglers and these days, also for composting and environmental destruction of waste matter. One of the best methods to harvest worms is to lay a hessian bag in a shady spot, keep it permanently damp and place vegetable peelings underneath it. Another recommended bait is the grub. Many anglers swear that the odour which emanates from the maggots of the big moths when pierced by a hook can be detected from a great distance by fish. Grubs have a reputation as top bait for the inland angler. Grubs can usually be located by removing the top few inches of soil from around the base of a tree. They can also be located in the timbers of trees where that live out their larval stage of their development. They kill the tree as they eat their way into its heart and small holes are a giveaway as to their presence. In some areas frogs are suitable bait. Not a popular or well-known bait, but nevertheless the small brown frog usually found under loose bark is the pick of the frogs as bait. The tadpole is effective bait for trout when thrown in the shallow streams among weed beds. Another bait anglers can use when others are in short supply is the freshwater mussel. These hard-shelled molluscs can usually be found at the river edge or on the beds of the rivers and their soft, fleshy centre is bait some fish find irresistible. The flat bottom of a farm dam is a good place to find crayfish baits. Their presence is usually indicated by small burrowing holes at the edge of the water line. They can also be found under rocks in small streams and creeks. They are generally active at night and have even been seen scampering across dew-covered ground. In winter they tend to burrow deep into the mud of the bottom. The freshwater shrimp, probably the most successful of all the freshwater baits, are seasonal in their availability. Most fish will rarely turn away from a nicely presented freshwater shrimp and at the height of summer they are present in vast numbers. Traps are the best method of capturing the shrimp. Usually a bucket shaped metal container with holes and baited with a dead fish is an efficient method of capture. Perhaps their sense of smell leads them into the bucket to feed off the fish and when retrieved from the water, the bucket drains of water, leaving the entrapped shrimp behind. Areas to search for the shrimp are at the water’s edge next to weed, rocks and algae-covered timber. They have a similar appearance to the prawn and are excellent bait for any species of fish. Live fish are excellent bait and it is a widespread practice to use them. In dark, murky waters the big-mouthed fish are attracted to these baits by their movement more so than their appearance or characteristics. Before using baits such as those mentioned, local regulations must be checked as it is prohibited in some trout waters to use such baits which may compromise the habitat. Indeed the European Carp, which is in plague proportions in Australian rivers and destroys the habitat of the natural fish, are a classic example of what can happen when live bait are released and allowed to thrive. Baits used for trout are almost always live and usually consists of the small water-based animals from the same area as the fish. Trout do appreciate variety however and can also be taken using grasshoppers, beetles, moths, ants, worms and insects. More Evidence that Green Tea Blocks Fat Absorption

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

By Jon Stout In recent years, green tea has gained a lot of attention for its health benefits. Many studies have been conducted that have shown various ways that green tea helps keep you healthy. Among these findings include evidence that green tea helps lower cholesterol, reduces your risk of heart disease and cancer, and helps you lose weight. In the beginning, it was thought that green teas effect on weight loss was due to its ability to speed up the metabolism, and much of this ability was thought to be due to the fact that green tea contains caffeine. However, many recent studies have suggested that green teas ability to speed up the metabolism is not due to its caffeine content alone. In some studies, subjects were fed the caffeine equivalent of green tea, but did not show the same weight loss results as subjects who were actually fed the green tea, suggesting that green tea contains something more than caffeine that affects weight loss. More recent research suggests, however, that speeding up the metabolism is not the only way that green tea helps you lose weight. Other studies have suggested that green tea may also increase your ability to burn body fat and that it may also block the absorption of dietary fat. This means that less of the fat you consume in your food may end up in fat on your body. This is important news. If green tea can block the absorption of dietary fat, it may have tremendous weight loss potential. There is already one prescription diet drug on the market that blocks fat absorption, and it has helped many patients lose weight. However, this drug has significant side effects, and is not recommended for long term use. While blocking the absorption of the fat in your diet is not the total weight loss answer, it could be a great help. To sustain long term weight loss, its important to make changes in your dietary habits, not just rely on a weight loss supplement to reduce your fat absorption. However, when such substances are used in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise plan, they can make losing weight and keeping it off significantly easier. One important study on this subject was reported by the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, and evaluated the absorption of dietary fat through the gastrointestinal tract and through the pancreas, and how this absorption is affected by the anti-oxidants in green tea. The study examined how fat absorption in the stomach and pancreas was affected when green tea extract was included with the dietary fat. The study was conducted in vitro, meaning that the activity was observed in the lab rather than on human or animal subjects. The study concluded that fat absorption was inhibited by about 60mg when green tea extract was used. This is an amount that would be considered significant to human diet.* Though this study was conducted in vitro, researchers concluded that the results would be likely to be the same in humans. Overweight and obesity are fast becoming our nations number one health concern. Today, nearly 60% of us are overweight, with more than 30% of us considered obese. This means that our country has a lot of weight to lose, and that we need all the help we can get. Being overweight or obese significantly increases your risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and some forms of cancer. So, our lives literally depend upon getting our waistlines under control. And, thats whats so great about green tea. While drinking green tea is no substitute for eating sensibly and exercising, it is the perfect adjunct to these important habits. Thats because green tea has been shown to reduce your risk of precisely many of the diseases that obesity contributes to, and it helps you lose weight in the process. Study after study has shown that green tea can help reduce cholesterol, a leading contributor to heart disease. Green tea has also been shown to help regulate blood sugar, which may reduce your risk for Type II diabetes, and may even help you to control diabetes if youve already been diagnosed. And, green tea reduces your risk for cancer, too. So, if youre overweight, its time to get your health in order. Take a look at your diet. Reduce your intake of saturated fat, white flour and sugar. Increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Get 30 minutes of exercise on most days of the week. And, add green tea to your daily diet. Green tea is easier to find than ever. Most grocery stores carry green tea in teabag form and many fine tea purveyors carry a wide variety of flavored and plain green tea in loose form. You can even find green tea bottled to make it more convenient than ever to get your daily dose. Green tea is just as effective whether you drink it hot or cold, and whether or not you add milk or sweetener. To benefit your health and your weight loss efforts, its recommended that you consume 3-5 cups of green tea each day. Green tea is good for you, tastes delicious and has no side effects. Even the caffeine in green tea is better tolerated by the caffeine sensitive than the caffeine in many other beverages. So, whats stopping you? Theres no downside to drinking green tea. And, its benefits to your health and your waistline may be significant. Jon M. Stout is the Chairman of the Golden Moon Tea Company. Payday Loans - Benefits of Fast and Easy Cash Advance

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder Payday loans are used by millions of Americans because of their fast and easy service. With no credit checks or extensive application requirements, your cash advance application can be approved in minutes. Payday loans allow you to avoid late fees, saving you hundreds. They also help you keep your credit score. With online sites, you can also do some quick comparison shopping to find the best terms. Quick Turnaround Time For Application Approval And Funds You just cant beat the speed of a payday loan. While other financing companies can take weeks to approve your credit application, payday loan lenders can approve it in a matter of hours. The key to such speedy service is that you dont have excessive requirements to meet. No credit checks. No documenting assets. No co-signers. Simply fill out the information that you shows you are of the legal age and have a source of income. Some lenders will have other minor requirements. Just as the approval process is quick, so is receiving your cash. Most often your funds will be deposited into your checking account the next day. That means that in less than 24 hours, you can take care of your unexpected financial emergency. Saving Yourself For Escalating Late Fees Financing fees for a payday loan are usually less than late fees for bills or NSF fees for bounced checks. So by taking out a cash advance, you can avoid these high costs and hits on your credit score. A late payment can stay on your credit report for seven to eleven years, depending on the account. This means that you will pay higher rates on everything from credit cards to car insurance. Surfing Online For Better Rates Online payday loan lenders post their rates on their websites. So with a few minutes of surfing, you can find financing fees lower than your neighborhood cash advance store. Look for the APR since it includes both rates and fees. From the privacy of your home, you can research rates and apply for your loan in no time. Payday loans can be any more simpler. Cellulite Surgery

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

By Peter Emerson Surgery to get rid of cellulite should be considered only as a last resort. Surgery is also the most expensive treatment available for cellulite reduction. There are three types of surgery done for cellulite problems. Liposuction Liposuction is the most commonly performed surgical procedure for cellulite reduction and body contouring. This procedure involves removal of fat from under the skin. However, it does not remove the underlying layers of fat responsible for cellulite. If liposuction is performed at the lower layers or subcutaneous fat layer, secondary effects such as profuse bleeding, swelling and scarring may occur. Liposuction is good for slimming down hips, thighs and buttocks. Liposuction is often done in combination with a non surgical procedure called Endermology. Lower Body Lift This is a complicated procedure recommended for someone with extensive cellulite, accompanied by fat pads on the hips and loose skin. This procedure involves lifting the skin of the whole lower body like a facelift in that region. Mesotherapy or Micro surgery Mesotherapy is a treatment that stimulates mesoderm or middle layer of the skin. This in turn relieves a wide variety of symptoms and ailments including cellulite. The connective tissue of the body or collagen that makes up the bone, ligaments, tendons, and muscle is derived from the mesoderm. The mesoderm also involves the fat tissue and connective tissues around organs. In this treatment, an analysis is first made to determine the cause of cellulite. Then a combination of conventional and homeopathic medicines is injected just under the skin. Treatment varies from person to person. For example, if poor circulation is the problem, a circulation boosting treatment is used. It is recommended to receive mesotherapy treatments once or twice weekly over four to eight weeks. Some practitioners claim to be able to reduce cellulite by 40 to 50% over three to four treatments. Cellulite provides detailed information on Cellulite, Cellulite Treatment, Cellulite Cream, Causes of Cellulite and more. Cellulite is affiliated with Hoodia Diet Pills. By Alyn Weiss If your physician cant pinpoint the cause of your neck and shoulder pain, perhaps the solution is in the hands of your dentist. It is reported that the majority of North Americans put up with headaches, migraines, jaw pain, neck and shoulder pain as a result of jaw joint dysfunction, or a bad bite. Physicians therefore may not have the answers, but a neuromuscular dentist most likely will. Heres why, according LVI Global, the world-renowned institute for advanced dental studies: A “bad bite” (malocclusion) may in turn change the jaw-to-skull relationship causing the jaw to twist into a strained position. Involved this the muscles of biting, chewing, talking, head posture and breathing are the bones of the neck. If the shoulder, back and neck muscles are forced to compensate for the tight, sore and contracted muscles of the jaw, it will cause the shoulder pain you may have been experiencing. Neuromuscular dentists can relieve the strain on the jaw and surrounding muscles by correcting the bite. Neuromuscular dentistry not only benefits sore muscles, but also can help to relieve migraines and headaches brought on by TMJ/TMD.
